Opened Claude lately and couldn't find your Skills tab?
Your skills are all still there. They're just on a new page.
Anthropic made two changes in the last few days:
Skills, connectors and plugins now live together on one Plugins page.
The Max plans got new names, and the top plan is losing its 5-hour limit for verified accounts.
Neither one costs you anything or breaks anything. But both change what you see.
Right after this: where everything lives now, the one cleanup gotcha, and which plan makes sense after the rename.
Now a quick word from today's sponsor.
The holiday streaming season is almost here
Are you ready? As revealed in our holiday playbook, Roku Ads Manager lets you easily set up, measure and optimize your self-serve holiday ad campaign. You can even create a shoppable ad unit that lets streamers buy directly from their remote.
Right. Back to it.
One page instead of three
What used to say Customize now says Plugins, in the sidebar, the chat menu and settings.
The separate Skills, Connectors and Plugins tabs are gone. In their place:
Your own plugins, plus anything shared with you or from your organization, show first under "Your plugins."
You can filter the list to only skills or only connectors. Each card shows its type.
Public plugins carry a Verified or Community label.
It started rolling out to Free, Pro, Max and Team on Oct 29 and should be available on all of them by Nov 9. Enterprise gets it on by default from Nov 30.
How to use a skill now
In any chat, click "+" or type "/" and pick it.
Everything you'd already installed stays installed.
The cleanup gotcha
Some plugins bundle a skill and a connector together.
If you remove one of those, the connector stays connected. You have to disconnect it separately.
So when you tidy up, check your connectors too.
And when you add something new, read what a Community plugin can access before you install it.
The plan rename
Here's the change, straight from Anthropic:
Max 5x is now called Max. Still $100 a month.
Max 20x is now called Ultra. Still $200 a month.
"If you're a subscriber, there's nothing you need to do."
The real news is on Ultra: Anthropic is removing the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting with most existing subscribers.
Weekly limits still apply, so Ultra isn't unlimited.
Which plan makes sense now?
My take (this part is my opinion, not Anthropic's advice):
Pro ($20): you hit the 5-hour limit now and then, and you can wait it out.
Max ($100): you hit limits most days.
Ultra ($200): you work in Claude for hours at a stretch, and the 5-hour cutoff is what stops you.
Make it stick
Open the Plugins page today and filter to skills.
Note the three you actually use, and remove what you don't (then check your connectors).
Skills are where Claude learns your work instead of everyone's. The more of your business you package into them, the less you explain every time. That's the whole idea behind The One-Person Company Playbook.
It's the complete setup for running a business where AI does the work of a full team. Inside:
A company folder with your brief, pipeline tracker and invoice log already laid out, so any AI picks up where you left off
Thirty AI roles across six departments, from sales to finance, ready to use
Six jobs that run on a clock: the morning briefing, follow-ups, invoice checks and more
The step-by-step path from picking a business model to your first paying customer
Works on Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Grok, whichever you already pay for.
The catch: it takes about eight hours over a weekend to set up. After that, it's yours. $97, one-time (down from $297).
Talk tomorrow,
Zephyr
P.S. Which skill do you use most? Hit reply and tell me. I'm collecting the good ones.
