Every new chat, you start over.

Who you are. What you do. How you like things written.

You type it all again. And again.

There's a fix, and almost nobody turns it on.

Now a word from today's sponsor:

Everything is coming into focus.

Join beehiiv live on July 16th at 1PM ET for a first look at the future of audience-led business.

This isn’t just another feature launch (though there will be plenty of those). It’s a look at a more connected future for creators and brands that are tired of juggling disconnected tools, platforms, and data.

If you care about building an audience online, this is worth your time.

Okay, the fix.

In about two minutes, you can make Claude remember you.

Your work. Your style. Your projects. On every chat, without repeating a word.

It comes down to two settings most people never open.

First, your profile.

Click your initials, bottom-left. Open Settings. Go to Profile.

This is a short note Claude reads before every single chat. Paste this and fill it in:

About me: [your name, what you do, who you serve].
How I work: [my role, my tools, the terms my industry uses].
How I want Claude to respond: [direct and concise, prose not bullet points, give examples, skip the hype].
Always remember: [my timezone, my main clients, the projects I'm running].

Keep it under a page. Claude reads it every time, so shorter is sharper.

Second, turn on memory.

Go to Settings, then Capabilities.

Switch on "Generate memory from chat history" and "Search and reference chats."

Now Claude quietly learns from your chats and builds a picture of you, refreshed every day. Next time you open it, the context is already there.

Want it to lock something in on the spot? Just say "remember this," and it will.

Your profile is global. It shapes every chat you have.

For one specific client or project, make a Project instead, and put that context inside it. Claude becomes an expert on that one thing, without cluttering everything else.

Profile, memory, and projects together. That's how Claude stops being a stranger every morning and starts picking up where you left off.

Getting all three set up so Claude knows your business cold is the foundation I teach in Claude Mastery.

The full setup, step by step, no tech background needed.

Quick one before you go.
