You can catch up on three weeks of Claude over one coffee. Between August 20 and September 2, Anthropic shipped nine things, and I'd say four of them change how a one-person business actually runs. The other five you can read about and forget.
I've ranked them by what they save you. How loud the announcement was had nothing to do with it.
Four that change your week
Claude remembers your business between sessions (August 25). Chat and Cowork, Claude's desktop workspace, now share one memory, and you can read, edit or delete every topic in it. No more explaining what you do from scratch every morning. Go and delete what's stale in there this week, there'll be something.
Claude runs your web errands in its own browser (August 26). Cowork got a browser pane of its own, separate from your Chrome. Quotes, price checks, filling in forms, research that comes back with sources. Nothing to install.
Hand your inbox to Claude in Chrome (August 26). The extension that drives your real, logged-in Chrome came out of beta on every paid plan, with proper checks before it sends or deletes anything. Inbox triage is the first job to give it (watch it closely for a week, then stop watching).
Pick Opus for real work, Sonnet for the rest (September 1). With Fable 5.1 out, Anthropic now recommends Opus 5 for most real work. Sonnet for quick jobs, Opus for anything over three steps, Fable only if you're paying a developer to build on the API.
Your next 100 customers are already in Apollo
Find, reach, and close your perfect deals — without juggling five tools or hiring more reps.
Apollo gives you everything you need to build real pipeline, fast. From inbound to outbound, first touch to close.
All in Apollo.
Five you can skip
Fable 5.1 itself (September 1). API and Claude Code only. Big for labs, invisible if you use the app.
Claude Academy (August 21). Around twenty free courses from Anthropic. Three are worth a Sunday if you run your own thing, the rest are built for developers.
Commerce agents (September 2). A blueprint for retailers building shopping and merchant agents, with Shopify, Square and Wix on the partner list. Worth knowing if you sell physical products. Otherwise there's nothing to do yet.
Computer use, the Skills API and the Files API went general (August 20). Developer plumbing. You'll feel it later, as better tools, not now.
Claude for Teachers went free for whole school districts (August 28). Good news, just not your news, unless you sell to schools.
The one setup to do this week
Pick one from the top four and set it up properly. One. Switch on three at once and the setup becomes the work instead of the output, which is the most common way a good week disappears. Over-engineering is the stupidest habit in this space and I still catch myself at it.
If you want the choice made for you:
Here's how my business runs right now: [three lines on what you do and which tools you use].
From these four Claude features: shared memory, the Cowork browser, Claude in Chrome, and choosing Sonnet versus Opus per task, tell me which ONE would save me the most hours this month, and give me the setup in five steps or fewer. You get the full setup for all four inside the community, with the files. Members vote on which one we build together next month.
Your business, run on Claude. One owner, a full team's output.
Quick one.
