You can learn Claude free, from the people who built it. Anthropic opened Claude Academy on August 21: about twenty courses and tutorials, no paywall.
Most of it is written for developers. I went through the catalogue, and three of them are worth your Sunday if you run a business instead of writing code.
The three worth your Sunday
Claude Code 101. Twelve lessons and a quiz. It's pitched at coders, but it's the clearest explanation anywhere of how Claude works with a folder of files, which is the exact skill behind Cowork (the Claude desktop app that works on your real files instead of a chat window). Do the first six lessons and stop there.
The skills course. Skills are reusable instructions you write once and Claude picks up every time. Half the people asking me "why does Claude forget my rules" need this course and nothing else.
The MCP course. MCP is the plug that connects Claude to Gmail, Notion, your CRM and so on. You don't need to build one. You need to know what the plug does, so the connectors menu stops being scary.
Skip the rest, they're built for developers
Agent development, the API courses, tool use, Claude Code in Action. Good material, wrong audience. If you're not writing code, every hour in there is an hour you didn't spend running the business.

Claude Academy teaches the tool. It can't teach you what to do with the tool in a business with real customers, and it was never trying to, because Anthropic isn't selling you anything after the course.
The gap I keep seeing: somebody finishes a course, understands skills and connectors perfectly, then sits in front of the chat box with no idea what job to give it. Tool knowledge with no job attached is trivia.
